There's always something to do in Florida. No wonder it's one of the most popular vacation destinations anyway. Home to both Disney World and Universal Studios, Florida is a must-visit for the young and older alike -- at least once in a lifetime (if not 10!). Go there in the fall for shorter lines and smaller crowds, or bask in the true Florida sunshine in summer months and live like locals on the beach and in exciting tropical hotspots.
Nightlife and beach lovers are more likely to flock to South Beach, Miami, or West Palm Beach thanks to the sun and the excitement of beaches that are unmatched in its beauty only by its inhabitants. And adventurous types can make their way to the Everglades where natural waterways and alligators are the main attractions.
The Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral makes for a great day trip, and lucky visitors will get to watch a shuttle launch. Florida also boasts golf courses, aquariums, even parrot jungles, tropical restaurants, and island flavor off almost every exit of its expansive turnpike.
