Sometimes you wish you were psychic. For example, when you’re looking at airline tickets and trying to guess whether they’re going to go up or down, a crystal ball would come in handy. But since you’re probably not going to ever gain any psychic powers that you don’t already possess, here are some online tools to help you better predict travel prices.

  • FareCatcher: This tool provides you with fare information as it becomes available. You can set parameters such as travel dates and price limitations in order to detail the information more to what you desire. If you’ve got flexible travel dates, this tool will tell you when the best time is to get your tickets.
  • FareWatcher Plus: With this Travelocity tool, you can list 10 different destinations that interest you and receive regular updates about deals for those places. If you’ve got some dream destinations that you’re waiting to be able to afford, this is a good tool to use.
  • FareCast: This is probably the best tools for determining the right time to snag your airline tickets. It predicts when prices will be rising and when they’ll be falling so you can sign on at the bottom low.
