There are some travel discounts that we always remember to take advantage of, like finding the lowest fare on airline flights by doing a price-comparison online. But there are a number of discounts available to us that aren’t advertised.
- Military discount: If you’re active in the military, you can get a discount almost everywhere. Even some of the shows in Vegas are discounted for you.
- Senior discount: The group most likely to forget this one is people aged 55-65. You don’t always qualify, but you qualify often enough that you should ask. If you’re an AARP member, you might get an even better discount.
- AAA: If you have a AAA membership for your car, you can probably get discounts on most lodging. Some other areas of travel get discounts as well.
- Students: Never fail to carry your college ID when traveling and always ask for a lower price.
- Credit cards: It’s not quite a discount, but if you have a rewards card, you can use it on all travel and get something back.
