Las Vegas party

Much like honeymoons conjure up images of lazy days in the tropics, bachelor and bachelorette parties bring to mind raucous nights of debauchery. And if you want to stage a party that will be one for the record books, then you’d better plan on taking your crew to Sin City.

There are travel agents, websites, party planners and random strangers galore who are willing to help you plan your Las Vegas pre-wedding party and most of them are reputable and will give your group a great discount. Of course you’ll need to do your research before you decide which company or individual to book with, or you can book yourself, but don’t forget to consider all aspects of the trip before handing over your credit card.

  • Length of stay: Are you going to whoop it up for one-night or are you going for a long weekend? Extended stays can garner deeper hotel discounts if you stay over certain nights.
  • Fly or drive? If you’re close you may want to drive, or you may want to rent a bus or limo to get you there in style and give you more time to party on the trip. If you’ll be flying many cities offer direct flights or charter options. There are benefits to either of these options and your party’s priorities should be considered.
  • Cost: Obviously a trip to Las Vegas is more expensive than a big night on the town where you live. Take this into consideration as you plan events.
  • The big event: What do you want to do for your big night out? Strippers in the hotel room, strip clubs, a private room in an exclusive club, dinner at the nicest restaurant in town followed by a big show–there are a million options in Las Vegas and one for every taste and personality. But shows sell out and restaurant reservations can be hard to come by, so let your event planner know in advance exactly what you want to do. If you’re going the do-it-yourself route, begin booking as soon as possible.
  • Other activities: If you’re staying more than one day you’ll need to find other things to occupy your guests. A minute-by-minute itinerary isn’t necessary but a list of alternatives is nice, and remember to keep everyone in mind, the party girl or guy and the non-drinker in the crowd.

This may be your party of a lifetime, but it can quickly turn into a nightmare if your guests aren’t having a good time or if they feel uncomfortable with the tone and/or expense. So use the above mentioned topics as guidelines to help you make the event fun for everyone.
