There’s nothing wrong with a Disney vacation, but there are other options for families out there that you should also consider. Especially, if you’ve already experienced a Disney vacation.

  • National Parks: Any national park provides a great experience for families. It teaches everyone something about history. It gets the whole family active outdoors. And there are usually kid things to do that keep it fun for everyone.
  • State capital: If the city you live in isn’t the capital of your state, head to the city that is. You can select activities that suit the unique interests of the folks in your family and learn more about your state at the same time.
  • Other theme parks: There are hundreds of other theme parks around the nation that can provide a new experience with the same kind of fun. Dollywood, Six Flags, Cedar Point and Coney Island are just a few.

There’s nothing wrong with Disney World. We all love it. But family vacations are about sharing new experiences with your kids, so try something a little bit different this year.
