A trip to Los Angeles will include many different experiences. It will include time spent enjoying the surf and sand at some of the most interesting beaches in Southern California. It will include shopping and celebrity sightings and nights out at comedy clubs or dance clubs. The specifics of what it will include will vary greatly from person to person since so many different interests can be explored in different parts of Los Angeles. But no matter what you’re doing during the bulk of your Los Angeles vacation, you’re going to need to stop and eat. Why just grab a quick bite when you’re spending time in a city that has some of the hottest restaurants in the entire nation? Make an experience out of it by choosing to dine at the trendiest places there are.

Here are some of the hottest restaurants to choose from in Los Angeles:

Celebrity-Owned Restaurants in Los Angeles

The hottest restaurants in Los Angeles are those that are owned (or invested in) by some of the celebrities that make L.A. such a fun place to visit. Here are some of the ones that you’ll want to waste your money on a meal at just for the experience of dining at a celebrity-owned hot spot:

Ago Restaurant. This upscale Italian restaurant is considered to be one of the best places in town for an expensive, delightful meal. The main name behind this place (among many other investors) is Robert DeNiro. That helps draw people in but it’s actually the ambiance that makes this place so amazing. Make sure to dine at the outdoor patio which is filled with huge Cypress trees that will convince you you’ve left L.A. and are actually eating in Italy.

Beso. This is a hot restaurant that people don’t actually go to for the food. That’s because the astounding drinks at the bar here are the reason that people want to crowd into this place. Well, that and the fact that it’s partially owned by Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria. What you might be surprised to discover once you’ve entered this hot restaurant is the food at this new addition to L.A. is actually really good.
Dolce Enoteca e Ristorante. Ashton Kutcher is a celebrity that has got his hands in a lot of different ventures from VoIP service to this L.A. restaurant. There are multiple locations of this chain restaurant so you’re not going to be dining at some place that’s exclusive to L.A. but it’s still a favorite hot spot among people interested in eating at trendy places.
Madre’s Restaurant. This understated restaurant is charming and cute. It surprises some to learn that it’s owned by Jennifer Lopez. You’re probably not going to catch sight of the star here too often but you may get a chance to see some of the other celebrities that have been known to pop in now and then for a quiet bite. At the very least, you’ll get a chance to enjoy some of the terrific Latin foods served at a restaurant considered to be one of the hottest in L.A.
Milky Way. It’s not just a celebrity whose name is attached to this place; it’s his mother who actually cooks the food here that is the real reason people want to check it out. Steven Spielberg’s mom is apparently a terrific Kosher cook and she serves her great dishes to both celebrities and celebrity-seekers alike.

Other Hot Los Angeles Restaurants

A restaurant doesn’t have to be attached to a celebrity to become a hot spot. There are plenty of terrific places to eat that are known for their good food and trendy appeal. Each of these places has terrific chefs with international resumes and a long line of people who are just waiting to get in. Here are some of the best to try to get a reservation at during your stay in L.A.:

Café Sevilla. A list of hot Los Angeles restaurants just wouldn’t be complete if it didn’t include a restaurant that was equally as focused on entertainment as food. After all, we’re talking about one of the world’s entertainment capitals here. This Spanish restaurant is a dinner-and-show kind of place that also has special events. If you’re seeking to go to a hot spot at a quieter time of day, take yourself to the champagne brunch here.
Comme Ca Restaurant. People who want to pretend that they are in Paris while they’re really staying in Los Angeles will find that this uber-hot restaurant is the ideal place to put on those airs. You’ll feel absolutely chic here while drinking wine and partaking of a rich diet-destroying menu like only the French know how to create. The only word that works here is “classy”.
La Botte Ristorante. You can’t go wrong with Italian but you can definitely go right and if that’s what you want to do then you need to go right to this hot spot. The main reason that this place has gained attention is because it’s got terrific Italian food that hints at what you’re familiar with but the menu differs a bit from what you’re going to find at most other Italian places in the city. That’s because this restaurant features foods from Northern Italy, foods that are not normally found in America where the menu is almost always influenced by Southern Italy and Tuscany. If that’s not enough for you, the heavy emphasis on terrific wines that perfectly compliment the foods should be appealing.

Neomeze. Small plate dishes are really popular in Los Angeles. Most commonly, they are in the form of Spanish tapas at bars that emphasize sangria on the menu. However, this is a slightly different twist which takes the small meze plate from Greece and brings it to the restaurant and bar atmosphere of Los Angeles. In most restaurants, the wine is chosen to compliment the food. In this restaurant, you choose your drink first (be bold, go for the ouzo) and then you select the meze to compliment it. That’s just how things should be done in L.A.
STK. This trendy youth-oriented steak house isn’t unique to Los Angeles but it’s limited to only the hottest cities in the nation; there’s the original one in New York and a couple set to open in Miami and Las Vegas. The slogan for the place has become “not your daddy’s steakhouse” which emphasizes the sexy, fun side of this hot restaurant. And the absence of any vowels in the name alludes to the fact that it’s preferred by a young text-message-obsessed crowd.

It isn’t going to be difficult to find an amazing restaurant to dine at when you’re in Los Angeles. It’s not even difficult to find a restaurant that is owned by a celebrity, frequented by celebrities or which makes you feel as though you yourself are a celebrity. What will be difficult is narrowing down the number of restaurants that you go to as you try to find only the hottest hot spots in a city that is absolutely brimming with them. The great thing about Los Angeles is that there’s something for everyone in this place so just keep on looking (with an eye towards the newest openings) and you’re undoubtedly going to come across the places you find to be the hottest.
