It’s hard to believe that EPCOT, Walt Disney’s pet project at Walt Disney World near Orlando Florida, will turn 25 on October 1, 2007. Yet, the one-of-a-kind theme park that combines technology exhibits with a World Showcase, is as enjoyable as ever. Original attractions, such as Spaceship Earth combine with new ones, such as The Seas with Nemo and Friends, for a fun and educational experience. Plus, where else can you visit China, Norway, Mexico, and France all in one day?
Special events this fall include the 12th annual International Food & Wine Festival, September 28 through November 11, 2007. Festival events include food, wine, and beer samplings from 25 countries, live entertainment and concerts, cooking and winemaking demonstrations and lectures, and celebrity author and chef book signings.
Beginning November 23 is the annual Holidays around the World Celebration. This annual event, which runs through December 30, includes a nightly candlelight processional with the Disney characters in holiday garb, a nightly retelling of the Christmas Story by celebrity narrators, Mickey’s tree lighting, holiday storytellers and food, entertainment, and holiday gift items from around the globe.
