Nearly 70 different towns ann cities throughout Arkansas are participating in this year’s Trail of Holiday Lights. You can’t go almost anywhere in the state without bumping into a magnificent display of Christmas sparkles. In addition to the lights in neighborhoods across these communities, you’ill find all sorts of events and activities.

Each community on the trail offers something a little bit different in terms of Christmas celebrations. In some areas, you can step inside historic homes that have been decorated for the season in old-fashioned style. In others you can listen to the songs of carolers, join the crowds on outdoor ice skating rinks or sit on Santa’s lap and make your annual wishes. In each of them, you can recapture the magic of childhood with your awe of the decorative lights.

Taking a trip to Arkansas may not have been on your winter agenda. However, if you’re looking for a Christmas getaway, it might be an ideal spot. Enjoy a romantic holiday in one of the smaller Arkansas towns on the trail or take the kids on a tour of the whole state to see more lights than they’ve ever seen before. You won’t break the bank and you can create an itinerary that suits your style.
