Chile. It’s a country that is as hot for travel as the spice of the same name is to eat. And yet, it’s a place that remains relatively cheap as a travel destination. There’s plenty going on and none of it costs too much; what more could you ask for? Well, if you still want more, Chile’s probably got it. This country has a variety of terrain, a number of interesting attractions and a few different cities worth exploring.

Chile stretches all along the coast of South America. For this reason, cruises often travel there and you can sometimes get a good deal on a cruise that will take you from top to bottom of this country. This is a great way to see a good chunk of what Chile has to offer in terms of the natural world – there are islands, fjords, peninsulas and it’s likely that you’ll pass by such diverse natural attractions as mountains, forests and glaciers.

But if you get a chance to explore into the interior of Chile, you should take that chance as well. Visit Patagonia (the southern region of Chile) to experience a rich native culture. Head to the capital city of Santiago to get a sense of urban life in South America. Check out the national parks that are located in the northern part of the country. Wherever you go, you’ll find that there are inexpensive hostels and hotels and low-cost transportation, including tours, to give you a world of experiences at just a little cost.
