Prague

Historical beauty is the hallmark of downtown Prague, whose medieval center remains largely undisturbed with its intact maze of cobbled lanes, courtyard relics, dark passages and illuminating churches–all closely guarded by a 1,100-year-old castle.

Since the fall of communism in this region, tourism is on the rise, making Prague one of Europe’s most popular destinations. Traditional fare and classic pubs still dot the markets but more chic eateries and boutiques have also begun cropping up, offering visitors a thrilling experience of both old and new.

If you’re looking for a deal on a Czech vacation then you’ll want your holiday to coincide with the locals. Many Czechs take a vacation in July and August, during this time the inexpensive accommodations actually open up as student hostels open their doors to all sorts of visitors. The summer is also an ideal time to visit the attractions outside of Prague as they tend to only cater to tourists during the warmer months.
