Kuala Lumpur

A recent report by UBS Bank says Kuala Lumpur is the world’s cheapest city. The average tourist pays $260 for a night of first-class lodging, three meals that day, transportation and a night at the theater.

In fact, all of Malaysia is a deal, with its undervalued currency, low inflation rates and subsidized oil prices. Kuala Lumpur, the capital city, offers tourists a great variety as it’s a melting pot that serves as a hub for cultural activities. The National Museum has a large collection of artifacts and paintings. The National Art Gallery not only holds an excellent collection of art, but the building itself is impressive, with traditional Malay architecture combined with contemporary lines.

If you’re looking for something along the lines of performing arts, then the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra may be what you’re looking for. Or you could try the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Center.

The Golden Triangle is also a must for travelers to this Malaysian city. This commercial hub holds shopping deals that just can’t be found elsewhere. And don’t forget to see the Petronas Twin Towers – the world’s largest twin towers.

Kuala Lumpur has both sights and bargains galore; they’re just waiting for you to discover them.
