Colonial Williamsburg Has Its Share of Ghosts
As one of the oldest cities in the United States, you’d expect Colonial Williamsburg to have its share of ghost stories, and the living history museum in southeastern Virginia doesn’t disappoint.
Ghosts and Legends package
To celebrate the Halloween season, Colonial Williamsburg is offering a “Ghosts and Legends” package for visitors arriving between now and November 20, 2007. The package includes accommodations at one of the several lodges, inns, and private homes in the restored area; daily breakfast; a pass to Colonial Williamsburg for the duration of your stay; dinner in a Williamsburg tavern; and a ticket to the “Legends, Myths, Mysteries, and Ghosts” tour. Taxes and gratuities are additional. Rates start at $77 per person per night and there is a two-night minimum.
About Colonial Williamsburg
Williamsburg, located in the Tidewater region of Virginia, was the capital of Virginia in the early 18th century. The once-thriving city was in disrepair when industrialist John D. Rockefeller Jr. made restoring it his pet project in the 1930s. Today, Colonial Williamsburg includes 88 restored 18th century buildings and 40 reconstructed ones. It is the most popular attraction in Virginia.
