First class

Always more spacious and with more amenities than coach class, first and business class have become even more comfortable and luxurious in the last year or so. Below are just a few of the new features.

Singapore Airlines suites: On its new Airbus 380 aircraft, Singapore Airlines, has introduced a new class of service, even more spacious than First Class. These self-contained compartments offer a full bed that makes up into a comfortable recliner. Other amenities include a 23″ flat-screen television, over 100 movies at your disposal, and a computer data port.

United Airlines lie-flat beds:. In November, United Airlines became the first US airline to offer 180-degree, lie-flat beds in its business class service between Washington’s Dulles airport and Frankfurt.

Air Canada executive first suites: Beginning in June 2008, Air Canada will start outfitting its first-class cabins with lie-flat beds, each with a 12″ touch-screen entertainment center and a computer data port. These cabins will also have a stand-up, self-serve bar.

Delta Airlines business elite class: Delta joins the luxury business class offerings in early 2008 with ”fully horizontal personal sleeper suites” on its international routes.
