Germany’s already a world-renowned location for trade fairs and congresses, and with the opening of the new Trade Fair and Congress Center in Stuttgart, the country has gained another world-class location for business events.

It’s been in the works for a number of years, and anyone flying in and out of Stuttgart’s airport in the last few years will have seen the massive construction site, but now it’s officially open and in full operational swing. The Center is almost entirely booked for the whole of 2008. That means there’s a good chance that a decent proportion of the world’s business travelers will be passing through Stuttgart in the near future.

The Trade Fair and Congress Center is located next to the airport, so it’s convenient to reach,. It’s also well-linked to the Autobahn and to the German rail network.

There are exhibition halls large enough to house more than 9,000 people, and an event hall for plenary addresses and speeches that can fit 10,000 attendees. There are also all kinds of flexible conference areas that can be arranged to suit varying sizes of gatherings. It’s all in a brand new complex with a real architectural flair, and is bound to become one of the most popular destinations for expos in the near future.
