Begin your trip right by wearing appropriate clothing to the airport: Slip-on shoes, empty pockets, and little or no jewelry.  Put all liquids into a sealed plastic bag, and have your laptop easily accessible for x-ray.If your trip won’t last more than a few days and you pack right, a carry-on will do, if you know how to pack. Begin with a mix-and-match wardrobe, where any one piece combines with every other. Choose shoes that match all of your outfits. Wear a neutral coat on the plane and your outfit will look sophisticated and put together.

Lastly, if your business trip will include several destinations with different climates, use express mail services to send appropriate clothing to all destinations after your first. This way, you’ll still be able to pack lightly and be well dressed for the weather.
